Guess we can't let people make their own decisions any longer. This story reports how NYC officials are condering banning the use of products containing trans fat in restaurants. Next thing you know you won't be able to use them in your own home!
Apparently, the ban was unanimously approved by the NYC Board of Health and will be up for a final vote in December. Here's a link to an article about whether or not the ban will have an effect on the dining halls at NYU.

How did we go from BARELY making school lunches healthier (which I support) to banning trans fats throughout one of the largest cities in the world?
Craziness.
