Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We're currently trying to take advantage of Chris's three months of maternity leave, Ryan's ability to travel without much fuss, and my flexibility as a self-employed writer/designer.
In other words, we're indulging our travel jones as much as we can between now and the end of August when Chris heads back to work.
Our latest trip was up I-95 to Long Beach Island where we spent a few days with Chris's family down from Boston and her parents. Always a good time, though I'm dangerously close to tipping the scale back over the 200 lb. mark thanks to frequent beers, double cheeseburgers in the afternoon, my father-in-law's chicken liver spread recipe, fried seafood, tartar sauce, fried artichoke hearts (a new and interesting appetizer treat) and an overall lack of exercise and motion.
And things won't get much healthier in the days to come. On Wednesday we'll be heading out on a roadtrip to visit family in Kentucky and Oklahoma. When we get back, we'll be hooking up with about a dozen friends that share our love for good times and trashy horror movies. In other words, if I'm not 215 lbs. by mid-August I'll consider it a personal victory.
I'll do my best to keep the blog updated from the road, but I wouldn't count on many updates between now and August 13 when I return to the office.

Have fun on all the travels! And best wishes staying on the smaller side of 200. The last few weeks have not been kind to my waistline either, I'm afraid. But I'm lucky: I have some time to run around and get the occasional workout in! :) Though the popcorn I had at the movies last night did not help me. Oh hey, it was the Simpsons Movie! Fun!
