The other day I mentioned a report that NBC Nightly News did regarding what they described as the overfishing of our seas. Frankly, I was only half paying attention to the piece as I was in the middle of feeding Ryan and getting dinner ready for Chris and me.
One thing that did jump out at me was the statistic – teased by Brian Williams and repeated in the piece – that half-a-billion pounds of seafood is fished from our seas every day. While their side was not presented at all in the segment, The National Fisheries Institute has posted their reply to the story on their website.
