Saturday, September 8 marks the return of Hampdenfest, the eclectic late-summer festival celebrating the best that Baltimore and the Hampden neighborhood have to offer. You'll find good food and drink, plus three small, local brewers including a recent arrival on the Baltimore brew scene, Union Craft Brewing in Woodberry.
And what festival is complete without some show of gastronomic gusto? Cafe Hon is sponsoring a bread pudding eating contest while amateur chefs and pros can compete in the Great Baltimore Mac-Off. As for restaurant staff, well, they get their own race, complete with obstacle course, blind taste test and more.
